Fall at White Rock
This is my most recent plein air landscape painting. I did this out at White Rock Lake (Dallas). When out at White Rock, it is easy to forget you are in Dallas, especially if you are over by the boat yard. This one tree really stood out to me, especially with the final colors of Fall.
The Great White Throne
Well, this is my first blog. I’ve decided to start this up as a way to share my artwork as well as the events of Three Martini Studios. Yesterday we had a great session with Aralyn, then had a potluck pre-St. Patrick’s Day party. Dave made some really good stew and Sandy brought the stuffed cabbage. We met Marc’s wife Laurel who also brought some great munchies and Canadian beer. Dave and Marc decided to hold Sunday sessions at Dave’s new studio while we are on ‘Spring Break’, which will probably last until the first of May. I painted the Great White Throne at Zion National Park last year. I posted this to inspire me as I embark on my Spring landscape painting trips.
