Saturday, we had a fun evening congratulating Lauren on finishing residency and wishing her good luck with her fellowship in Atlanta. The martinis were flowing, and it was a great time catching up with old friends. Unfortunately, Lauren accidentally took my camera, so I don’t have photos from the life drawing session today except of my own work. It was a light crowd, but some great work was done. Doug, Ken and John showed up and Danielle was the model. My painting doesn’t look like Danielle very much, but I was focused on other things besides likeness today. I tried to capture in oils some of what I did digitally with my Dwight paintings. I had moments, although only having five hours with the pose didn’t allow me to experiment as much as a longer session would. So in two weeks, we’ll start a three week pose with Jill. I can’t wait.
I had a great time with everyone. I will miss all of you and promise to stay in-touch. Thank you for all of your friendships…they are priceless.
