Upcoming Show and Site Updates

23 10 2008

December 6th and 7th, I’ll be participating in the 13th Annual Telephone Factory Art Show at my home here in Atlanta. Telephone Factory Lofts (828 Ralph McGill Blvd) is where I live and since 1996, the residents here have held this event for the many artists to showcase their work. The show will be from 11am to 7pm on Saturday December 6, and 1pm – 6pm on Sunday December 7. Last year over 3,000 patrons saw the show. If you are in the area, please come by.

I have just created a new graphic for my business cards. You can see it on the “About the Artist” page here on the blog. I’ll be using this graphic on future promotions

For my final trick, I have just learned how to link paypal to my blog. You can see this below for a painting I did last summer in Maine, and on the previous post for a painting from the Great Smoky Mountains. The prices include shipping and a 10% donation to a related cause. The paypal buttons will limit one purchase for originals. As I add pieces that have prints available, I will provide more information on quantities and availability.

New Colors

It is great to be back in the South for the Fall. Autumn is spectacular in the Blue Ridge mountains, and the first signs of it were on display last weekend in north Georgia. I painted near Neel’s Gap along a hike that is an approach trail for the AT.

Then yesterday I had the opportunity to paint in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I was in Knoxville, TN for my cousin’s wedding (Congrats Derrick and Lauren!). Kate and I spent the morning before the wedding visiting the countryside. We stopped at one of the overlooks and I did my first painting in Tennessee. I’ll be up there again in a couple of weeks, so I’ll need to bring a lot more red and orange paint.
